Supermodel Gisele Bundchen is in the recent H&M Bohemian Deluxe campaign.
However, in the photos released in the GCC countries (Gulf Cooperation Council) looks like Gisele is on for a Conservatism campaign.
Hey put your shirt on ( to cover the exposed armpit )...
Much more to cover the cleavage...
These digital alterations have been done in order to "better align the campaign with the sensibilities of the GCC market". Thanks to Photoshop for the undershirts (haha!).
However, I'm really quite confused what really is the standard about all these sense and sensibilities in the middle east.
For instance, in the Dec 2010 issue of Harper's Bazaar Arabia wherein Drew Barrymore is on the cover:
Her editorial spread consists of some really sensual frames (which for me is tastefully done, so high fashion)...
So, it is just ok to expose the abs but not the armpit or the cleavage?
But there are some more like this inside the magazine:
Again, it's ok to show the legs & abs but not the armpit & cleavage?
Can someone enlighten me,please...
PS.
(GCC is the Gulf Cooperation Council countries which are: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE).
